Microsoft Corporation Finance Manager in Frankfurt, Germany

The key responsibility of Business Analysis Manager is to drive action-oriented business insights for Azure consumption, Modern Workplace and Business Application Usage and to helps customers realize their full potential through their Digital Transformation by driving their adoption of Cloud Products. The other objective of the role is be subject matter expert for Microsoft's Support and Consulting business.

Responsibilities

Prioritize

  • Performs and reviews analysis of present and future financial performance, financial plans (e.g., expected returns, resource allocation, investment opportunities) and economic transactions (e.g., customer deals, commercial partnerships, etc.). Prepares and summarizes recommendations.

  • Works directly with business to completes and reviews analysis, modeling, and research to support Budget and Targets. Partners and solicits insight from business and commercial stakeholders.

  • Delivers results through tracking performance, report accuracy, and partnering with business leaders to ensure execution of plans and accountability for results. Manages the rhythm of the business for area of responsibility including monthly close, recurring business review preparation, and future looking views. Generates relevant and actionable insights to drive the business forward.

  • Develops and leverages relationships with customers and partners to bolster consumption and usage, and to understand and manage business risk. Collects customer feedback data and applies data analysis techniques to improve customer experience. Builds strong relationships with business partners and even with customers at senior levels. Designs and negotiates solutions to complex financial issues with customers. Engages with customers and partners on their wider relationships with Microsoft. Serves as advocate for Microsoft and its customers. Understands customers' businesses to plan growth. Manages balance between customer centricity, enablement of sales, and cost effectiveness.

Partnership

  • Shares business insights and advances solutions and action plans to drive business and commercial leader goals and short-term accountabilities. Provides credible insights into industry benchmarks and trends, performance improvements, and growth. Facilitates to resolve complex issues. Manages and executes processes through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Applies understanding of the broader Microsoft context to offer solutions to ensure organizational objectives are met. Develops and manages strategies to proactively mitigate, or reactively address, potential adverse effects of macroeconomic and/or geopolitical risks. Articulates a comprehensive view of financial results and approaches leaders can implement based on deep understanding of business partner and counterpart work context and situation. Considers competing views and alterative solutions when formulating recommendations for financial plans and forecasts.

  • Conceptualizes and designs new approaches to how financial data is collected and evaluated to impact future outcomes and decisions.

  • Drives improvements in data management through automation. Applies understanding of advanced technology to accomplish business goals and to provide greater depth of analysis.

  • Understands the interconnections between data, information, and results and translates this into forward looking narratives and forecasts. Provides clarity and alignment with senior leaders. Implements creative ways to show patterns and draw conclusions to help drive decisions and clearly communicate findings. Generates actionable plans based on complex results, ambiguous findings, and multi-year time horizons. Articulates understanding and awareness of business partner situation.

Protect

  • Drives the right tone from executive leadership and ensures strict adherence and understanding of Microsoft policies on risk and compliance. Influences leadership to ensure compliance is a top priority and modeled throughout the organization. Drives a compliant culture through actions and decisions to instill trust. Advocates, educates, and promotes best practices and new developments. Encourages asking questions and identifying risks to compliance. Champions Microsoft privacy, security, and ethical standards. Advances key compliance initiatives.

Qualifications

  • extensive experience in Finance, experience in a similar role within similar Industry

  • Experience in Multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles is recommended

  • Analytical mindset and passion for process excellence.

  • Strong business acumen and experience in managing complex processes

  • Strong Communication and Influencer skills

  • Fluent in English, BA/BS or MBA degree in Finance, Economics
