Job Purpose/Overview:
This position ensures end-to-end governance of Issuer Services regulatory readiness.
Main function:
Responsibility of all tasks associated with the Issuer Service product portfolio
Support process analysis on client requests to execute deals and present the results to the client within client meetings
Management of attendance and responsibility to present Citi in Market Working Committees
Communication and diplomacy skills; may negotiate with external parties.
Focus on data quality, accurate and timeliness deal execution
Providing services to our Head Quarter in Dublin but also working with the local Franchise Stakeholders, such as Risk & Control, Compliance and other Operations Units
Overview :
Issuer Services delivers bespoke administrative services in support of Debt and Equity Capital Market transactions.
Issuer Services is constituted of two sub products, Depositary Receipts and Agency & Trust.
Issuer Services is a global business with offices located in London, Frankfurt,
Milan, Paris, New York, California, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Tokyo, Moscow, Dubai, Warsaw, and Singapore.
The German Issuer Service business is a growing business and a leading service provider in Agent Services in Germany.
The Issuer Operations team in Germany provides operational support to the Issuer Service Product Management,
Sales, Business Implementation and Network Management as well The primary responsibilities are ECM/M&A transaction services.
Issuing and Paying Agency services and the Frankfurt vault management.
Key Responsibilities:
Resolve complex process problems which require an in-depth evaluation of basic securities processing procedures and industry standards
Offer advanced solutions for assigned securities processing areas
Provide guidance and assistance to junior staff
Serve as analytical or procedural expert for securities processing deliverables/initiatives
Ascertain fund value and allocate values to each investor
Assist with the development of new techniques and streamlining securities processing activities
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Working with market infrastructure on market changes, participate in market meetings and execute changes into Citi systems
Provide services across multiple Agent functions to our clients issuing into the German market, such as Issuing Agent, Paying Agent, Settlement Agent, Lead Manager, Safekeeping Agent, Registrar
Experience, skills and capabilities:
5-8 years of relevant experience
Ideally experience as Settlement Agent, Paying Agent, Lead Manager or other Agent roles in the context of Issuer Services
English and German language fluency
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
