Army National Guard Units LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32 in Frankfort, Kentucky
Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1233P02 and is part of the KY DOL, National Guard. Responsibilities As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST-TITLE 32, GS-0346-9, you will utilize knowledge of logistics programs/operations and a clear understanding of automated systems to manage projects and programs for systems integration of CSS automation. Coordinate and communicate with the Department of the Army, National Guard Bureau, and Customer Assistance Office regarding CSS operations and automated systems support, problem resolution, software upgrades and change packages. Ensure SASMO Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current. Receive trouble tickets and review priorities. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve technical problems identified in trouble tickets and perform initial setup of Automated Logistics Information System computers. Administer operation and maintenance of the serviced database(s). Perform tests to ensure the serviced database(s) efficiently collects, stores, and processes data. Evaluate, determine, and initiate corrective action to recover or restore data. Receive, review, consolidate, and account for system problem reports and engineer change proposals. Manage the receipt, review, validation, distribution, and implementation of all CSS software. Determine systemic problems during maintenance of hardware or in the application of software and initiate corrective action as needed. Provide operator level assistance on Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs. Represent the Supervisor Logistics Management Specialist/DCSLOG/G4 on DCSIM Configuration Control Boards (CCBs). Serve as primary point of contact for logistical automation projects to include fielding of new equipment and improvements/upgrade to existing Automated Logistics Information Systems and Programs. Requirements Conditions of Employment Military Grades: SPC(E4)-CPT(O3) CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: You must maintain membership in the Kentucky National Guard. You must be assigned to a compatible military position. Wear of the military uniform. Position may require a pre-employment physical. May be subject to furlough actions. May be required to successfully complete a trial period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation. Acceptance of a Federal position may terminate a military bonus. Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is located on a tobacco free facility. Must obtain the appropriate Information Assurance Certification within six months of assignment IAW DoD 8570.01-M. This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP). The employee is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training identifying activities involving logistical support operations. Experience integrating the actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to develop a comprehensive logistics plan. Experience monitoring such functions as program planning, resource and fiscal management, training, and manpower management to meet the logistics plan. Experience providing Information Technology support to include diagnosing technical problems, setup of computers, development/implementation of programs, and coordination with users and other work centers. Experience using STAMIS. Experience identifying delays or problems and developing corrective actions. Experience working with people from various levels and backgrounds to elicit their cooperation to perform specific tasks, and complying with regulations, laws, or practices.
