Job Title: Shutdown Coordinator

Job Description

The Shutdown Coordinator will assist with the GAAP analysis to improve the rhythm of shutdowns and the overall preventative/maintenance program. This role involves making time on the floor more efficient and flexible while maintaining compliance. Responsibilities include transitioning QMS documents from PowerPoint to the QMS system, ensuring everyone is informed about necessary actions and deadlines. The coordinator will oversee PO placements and coordinate internal/external resources to support tight timelines, budgeting by activity line items as part of the Annual Maintenance Plan.

Responsibilities

• Help with GAAP analysis to improve shutdown rhythm and maintenance programs.

• Make time on the floor more efficient and flexible while staying compliant.

• Transition QMS documents from PowerPoint to the QMS system.

• Ensure PO placements and coordinate internal/external resources for tight timelines.

• Develop a detailed guide for consistent and safe execution of shutdowns.

• Collaborate with client groups to inform them of shutdown impacts and necessary preparations.

• Attend monthly shutdown governance meetings to identify critical operations and shutdown windows.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical engineering experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

• Ability to differentiate between licensed activities and those that can be done by cheaper labor.

• 5+ years of experience in a regulated pharma or biotech environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in project management within a pharma setting.

• Relevant certifications such as CMfgE, CEM, and CRE.

• Confidence to challenge decisions regarding labor and resource allocation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $67.00/hr.
