Job Title: Shutdown Coordinator

Job Description

This role involves assisting with the GAAP analysis to improve the rhythm of shutdowns and the overall preventative/maintenance program. The goal is to enhance flexibility while maintaining compliance. Responsibilities include transitioning QMS documents from PowerPoint to a QMS system to ensure timely action and reporting. The role requires coordination of internal and external resources to support tight timelines without a specific shutdown budget, and the development of a detailed guide for consistent and safe shutdown execution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with GAAP analysis to improve shutdown rhythm and preventative/maintenance program.

  • Provide suggestions to enhance flexibility while ensuring compliance.

  • Transition QMS documents from PowerPoint to a QMS system for better tracking.

  • Ensure all work has PO’s in place and coordinate internal/external resources to meet tight timelines.

  • Develop an Annual Maintenance Plan highlighting necessary shutdowns and ensuring line item funding is available.

  • Create a detailed guide for consistent and safe shutdown execution, collaborating with various client groups on-site.

  • Identify and document detailed shutdown impacts, such as specific electrical breakers or equipment loops.

  • Attend monthly shutdown governance meetings with site clients to identify critical operations and shutdown windows.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical engineering with the ability to differentiate between licensed activities.

  • High-level understanding of mechanical systems and shutdown processes.

  • 5+ years of experience in a regulated pharma or biotech environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Confidence to challenge unnecessary use of highly skilled labor and suggest cost-effective alternatives.

  • Strong communication skills to document details and ask the right questions.

  • Ability to coordinate and manage multiple resources and timelines.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $67.00
