This position is hybrid in nature, where 3 days/week are spent working in our office, collaborating with internal teams, and 2 days/week can be spent working remotely.
As a Senior Distribution Engineer, You can expect to:
Perform 3rd party make ready design and analysis; potentially work on capital/ reliability design (i.e. reconductor, voltage conversion, DG, FLISR, underground, etc. designs)
Be responsible for QAQC tasks on your assigned team; You will play a role in quality reviews of your team's designs prior to submittals for client projects
Review engineering design packages with clients; Review and organize existing program work
Perform functional tasks, planning, and/or customer follow-up
Perform scope analysis of work assigned and maintain schedule adherence to advocate client priorities
Interact directly with clients on a frequent, as-needed basis
Provide engineering support during construction, including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.
Coordinate conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements; Assist with work permit development, easements, and ROW applications
Be comfortable in both a field and office setting; the role could possiby require some customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages

What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements):
5+ years of relevant experience working with third party make ready engineering projects either in a consulting environment for electric utilities or working directly at an electric utility
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution; Additional relevant experience can be considered in lieu of engineering-specific degree
Experience and demonstrated proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)
Experience with engineering design quality control
Familiarity with Pole Loading software (O-Calc, Pole Foreman, etc) and distribution pole analysis
Ability to utilize a personal vehicle,as some customer-related travel could be anticipated(Job-related travel will be reimbursed at IRS-approved rates)
Willingness to perform both field and office work; Ability to work in outdoor environments on occasion; The role may require customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages
Candidates should possess valid U.S. driver's license
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous QAQC experience
Experience providing estimated costs, development of a BOM, calculating the CIAC
Demonstrated history of Customer Interaction
Proven experience and proficiency with STORMS software and GIS is preferred
Prior Leadership experience is preferred

Pay Range:
Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
