Job Description
As a result of significant project pipeline, AECOM’s 'Resources and Industrial' (R&I) team in our Brisbane office have created a fantastic opportunity for an Associate Director of Electrical Engineering specialising in Hazardous Areas.
You will be a Technical advisor and leader to AECOM Australia wide and New Zealand in Hazardous areas. Advising clients and supporting internal projects across a wide range of industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, coal, defence, wastewater, gas and bulk fuel distribution systems.
Main Responsibilities
Serves as lead engineer on mid- to large size projects.
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Approve and sign off on work within Hazardous Area classification
Provides technical expertise for studies and design efforts.
Performs quality control reviews of work developed by others.
Participates in development of technical proposals.
Provides estimates for the engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements on large projects.
Qualifications
You are a passionate, professional Electrical Engineer with proven excellence in client service delivery.
As an Associate Director Electrical Engineer, you will have:
Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
Hazardous Area classification, checking and verification.
Experience as a facilitator for Risk Assessment (HAZOP, HAZID, Functional Safety, LOPA etc)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with all internal and external stakeholders across the project lifecycle.
