Warehouse Specialist Fort Worth, Texas

Salary rate: $22.00 - $26.00 hourly, DOE

Position Summary

Tactical Air is currently seeking a Warehouse Specialist responsible for completing the day-to-day operations of a 100,000 square foot warehouse and distribution facility. Warehouse Specialist will often work in busy environments where priorities can change at a moment's notice, so an ability to multitask is essential for this role. Receiving, and dispatching procedures for shipments. Communicate with the Warehouse Lead to answer shipping and receiving questions and troubleshoot problems. Ensuring inventory and storage areas are clean and maintained. Ensure safety procedures are being followed when operating forklifts and other machinery. This position reports to the Warehouse Supervisor of Tactical Air Logistics Network (TALON).

Responsibilities

  • Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring quality of goods.

  • Organize and maintain inventory and storage area.

  • Ensure shipment and inventory transaction accuracy.

  • Cleaning, packing, and shipping engines and parts. Receiving and assessing engines and parts returned from repair.

  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.

  • Prepares facilities for changing weather conditions.

  • Assists with energy management.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise information to teammates, other departments, and company leadership in verbal, written, electronic, and other communication formats.

  • Ability to function independently and as a team member when interacting with company leadership, customers, and vendors.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

    Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 1-4 years for experience working in a warehouse environment.

  • Clear knowledge of warehouse operations.

  • Knowledge of warehouse software packages and MS Office proficiency.

  • Ability to learn how to input, retrieve, and analyze data.

  • Ability to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise information to teammates, other departments, and company leadership in verbal, written, electronic, and other communication formats.

  • Valid state driver's license.

  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD security clearance.

    Desired Experience/Skills

  • Forklift experience.

  • Proficiency in inventory software.

    Physical Demands

  • Extended periods of sitting/standing.

  • Extended use of desktop/laptop computer and peripheral equipment.

  • Extended periods of reading and analyzing fine print.

  • Occasional stooping, standing, and carrying.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds (with assistance, if required).

  • Regular use of hands and fingers to handle, feel, or operate objects, tools, or controls, reaching with hands and arms.

  • Frequently required to actively talk, listen, and hear.

  • Regularly ascend/descend stairs.

    Work Authorization and Environment

  • Must be lawfully eligible to work in the United States and complete a U.S. government I-9 Form.

  • Pre-employment and ongoing physical certifications required.

  • Occasional aircraft hangar or warehouse environment with exposure to loud noises, fumes from engines and chemicals, unpredictable climate (hot/cold), and electrical shock, or trip or slip hazards.

  • May be exposed to or required to handle hazardous materials.

  • Specific work hours determined by operational, departmental, or contractual requirements.

  • Occasional evening, weekend, holiday, and overtime work may be required.

  • Occasional travel to various work sites throughout the U.S. may be required.
