Who You Are

As the Manager of Global Supply Chain Contracts, you are a highly motivated and experienced leader with a background in Supply Chain Management in the US Aerospace and Defense industry. You have comprehensive experience with the FAR and DFARS and a thorough understanding of subcontract terms and conditions, negotiations, and supplier management.

You are effective at driving positive business outcomes in alignment with organizational goals with a demonstrated track record of evaluating courses of action, making recommendations, understanding impacts, and deciding and acting. You are skilled in succinctly communicating complex issues and developing visually compelling presentations to inform key stakeholders and shape decisions. Leveraging a strong business acumen, you are a champion of change effective at solving problems in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. You think strategically when implementing tactical solutions and have a demonstrated effective leadership history that promotes collaboration and integration.

What You Will Be Doing

The selected candidate will be responsible for effectively leading and supporting the Global Supply Chain Contracts team, which is comprised of experienced professionals, most being licensed attorneys. In this role you will:

• Develop and manage the vision, people, and processes of the team to ensure business objectives are met.

• Ensure subcontract terms and conditions are compliant to customer requirements and company policy.

• Review and approve subcontract terms and conditions with a focus on obtaining optimal outcomes for the company and our customers.

• Provide guidance to direct reports and other stakeholders on supplier contract terms and conditions matters.

• Proactively prioritize work in a dynamic and time sensitive environment without sacrificing quality of work product.

• Be accountable for the day-to-day operations of the Global Supply Chain Contracts team and meeting KPI targets.

• Interact frequently with the Global Supply Chain Contracts team and other internal and external stakeholders including Compliance, Risk and Remedy, Legal, Contracts, and Other Functions at all levels of the organization.

• Conduct briefings for internal and external stakeholders, including customers, and coordinate with peers at other business areas within Lockheed Martin to shape and support the vision for 1LMX.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university

• Leadership Experience

• Supplier negotiation experience

• Comprehensive experience with FAR and DFARS

Desired Skills:

• Advanced Degree (Masters / Law Degree (JD))

• DOD Secret Clearance

• Experience with DFARS Sourcing Requirements and Compliance

• Experience with Claims, Disputes, Remedy, or Risk

• Experience with general terms agreement, or other similar contractual documents

• Experience supporting government audits or other third party audits (internal or external)

• Experience working for a large US Aerospace or Defense Contractor

• Experience within a buying or compliance role with a detailed awareness of buyer needs

• Experience resolving critical pop-up issues/projects, that have senior leadership focus

• Experience building effective relationships and fostering cross functional collaboration

• Experience driving team responsiveness; ensuring adequate support for internal customer needs

• Experience balancing multiple competing priorities, for self and team

• Experience with LM Corporate and/or Aeronautics Policies and Procedures

• Experience in Contracts, Business Operations, Strategy, and/or Finance

• Engaged, proactive leader with extensive experience in Supply Chain execution

• Advanced communicator; including the ability to succinctly communicate/summarize complex issues

• Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory environment and policy shaping

• Confident strategic thinker, presents courses of action, overcomes objections and negotiates at Executive level

• Proven ability to decide and act

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
