Senior Systems Network Engineer

Our client, which is a leader in government-based work, is currently looking for a Senior Systems Network Engineer. This is a fully-onsite role, where the company does a rotating 5-day work week, followed by a 4-days work week (basically every other Friday is off).

Right now, they are looking for someone who has really strong VM experience (specifically with VMware ESXi). You will be handling a lot of their VM builds outs from the ground up, partnering with their Network team closely. If you have any proven experience with Cisco and Citrix components, that would be ideal as this is very involved in their environment.

A part of this role will also be handling the hardening of their infrastructure. This will be done by working with their Cybersecurity team and following best security practices (NIST, HIPAA, ENISA, etc.). Additionally, you will be working on with the rest of the Windows stack (Entra, O365, Intune, etc.). Lastly, if you have strong data storage experience with NetApp/SAN/NAS, that is a plus.

The role is a 6 month contract-to-hire role. Pay rate for the remote duration is between $60-70/hr, with a conversion in the $130K range. Again, this is fully onsite out of their Fort Worth office.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of experience within IT. Ideally with a few years of experience oversee/managing a team.

• Strong VMware experience – building out VMs from scratch

• ESXi

• vSphere

• vCenter

• Proven experience with:

• O365

• Active Directory/Group Policies

• PowerShell

• Citrix knowledge

• Any prior security experience is a plus – SIEM, RMF, Nessus, etc.

The Offer

• 3-6 month contract – rate will be between $60-70/hr.

• After the contract, this will be convert to a full-time position.
