Lockheed Martin Senior Software Engineer in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a full-time Early Career Software Engineer (IFG Design/Software Application).

What You Will Be Doing

In this role, you will engage in the development of test solutions for the verification of complex software and systems requirements through design, implementation, integration, and verification, use agile processes and various technology stacks, participate in phases of a complex software systems development lifecycle (SDLC), leveraging our DevOps engineering processes and procedures while performing respective engineering activities, and collaborate with other program personnel, participating in cross-functional Agile teams. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of the agile software development processes, general knowledge of programming principles, and experience with integration and requirement-based testing. Must be a U.S. Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

This position is in Fort Worth, TX  Discover Fort Worth.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related technical field

- Programming experience with at least one modern software language such as C++, Java, Python, and/or C# including object-oriented design

-Work in GitLab / JIRA along with Microsoft Word and DOORs

Desired Skills:

- Developing software for embedded systems with C++/C

- Familiar with Safety Critical Code Development Processes

- Ability to update and derive code (in C) AND/OR unit test (Parasoft Unit Test Cases to achieve full MC/DC coverage) from Detailed Design documentation

- Parasoft Test Tool Knowledge

- Agile, Atlassian tool suite (JIRA/Confluence/Bitbucket)

- Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment (HW, SE, Software Design, I&T)

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficient with Microsoft Office

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
