JOB SUMMARY The Senior AP Accountant is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payments to suppliers, vendors, and other creditors while adhering to company policies and financial regulations. This role works to achieve operational targets under general supervision. Requires the ability to influence others by explaining facts, policies and practices. Problems faced may be difficult but generally not complex. Demonstrates integrity, accountability and transparency; upholds BKV standards, values and culture. RESPONSIBILITIES Typical job responsibilities of the SENIOR AP ACCOUNTANT include: • Oversee the timely and accurate processing of payments, which may include issuing checks, initiating electronic transfers, or coordinating with the finance team for payment approvals. • Process expedited payment requests. • Reconcile monthly wire transfers and automatic payments, including online payments. • Ensure corporate invoices are processed promptly and accurately; resolve any discrepancies or issues. • Prepare monthly reconciliations related to the AP accounts. • Manage user access in Open Invoice. • Process coding corrections. • Build and maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolve payment-related queries, and negotiate payment terms when necessary. • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and legal requirements while maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets. • Assist the AP Supervisor with special projects. • Work closely with operations and land groups internally. • Perform other duties as required. REQUIRED SKILLS • Understanding of natural gas industry standards, market trends, emerging issues, and regulatory requirements. • Experience with accounts payable systems required, preferably Enertia and Open Invoice. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and job-related applications. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE • Associate or bachelor's degree required. • Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS • This position is located at BKV’s Fort Worth, Texas office. Remote work will be considered. • Indoor working environment that requires the ability to perform repetitive motions and operate standard office equipment. • May occasionally be exposed to distracting noise while sharing office space with others.
