We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280 Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army's Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell's Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth however, exceptions for alternate work arrangements may be considered. Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering

The Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering team is responsible for managing the supply base for Bell. This includes both tactical and strategic efforts. The tactical efforts are generally technical support for specific parts, assemblies, or programs at a supplier. Strategic efforts are more general overall enterprise efforts not specifically related to any part, assembly, or program. The overall mission is to ensure material availability in support of all Bell Assembly and Manufacturing facilities that meets quality and safety standards. This role fills the need for a lead integrator for efforts that extend across Strategic Sourcing, Military and Commercial Programs, Small Business Compliance, and Government Agencies. Bell's needs have evolved to require a dedicated individual to project manage the various cross-disciplinary projects and efforts and to coordinate with the key stakeholders. These various initiatives have arisen as we strive to modernize our supply chain and address risk for our military programs going forward.

What you'll be doing as a Supply Chain Project Management Principle

Responsible for leading global supplier onboarding and transition initiatives to support our enterprise objective of improving supplier delivery. This will be accomplished through leading the integration efforts of Transitions, Supplier Onboarding, Strategic Sourcing, Small Business Compliance, Industrial Participation, and Program to assist the Transitions team in achieving smooth and timely transitions.Advises senior leadership on supplier acquisitions and onboarding to address key capability gaps in our supply base. Additionally, this role will lead and guide supplier onboarding initiatives that address broad and multi-faceted needs in the supplier base across both the onboarding and transition efforts through the development of innovative solutions and integration . This supports our enterprise objective of identifying and mitigating supply chain risk.Influences and collaborates with a cross-functional team of Engineering, Strategic Sourcing, and Quality to address systemic producibility concerns. The SC Project Management Principle will drive onboarding initiatives that support Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineering in finding suppliers that mitigate the above concerns. This supports our enterprise objective of identifying and mitigating supply chain risk.Drives strategic initiatives with Industrial Participation, foreign government liaisons, Strategic Sourcing and SCME to optimally leverage offset spend to increase Foreign Military Sales.Provides vital counsel as a subject matter expert at crucial governmental program meetings, key industry associations, and critical supplier forums.Identifies and prioritizes strategic process improvement initiatives for Bell Supply Chain to solve complex issues. These initiatives will include but are not limited to enhancing the supplier pipeline, facilitating the creation of strategic sourcing projects, and how Strategic Sourcing addresses supply chain risk.

  • Establish partnerships at all levels within the supplier, emphasizing collaboration, clear expectations, common goals, trust and transparency.

Shares and establishes manufacturing technology best practices with teammates and colleagues and captures lessons learned to progress supply chain capabilities.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role

Prior experience performing producibility analysis and manufacturing trade studies to determine cost effective solutions to complex manufacturing technical objectives.

  • Prior experience leading Manufacturing Capability Assessments with key suppliers to evaluate supplier's technical competencies and ensure manufacturing technologies are sufficient to meet technical and supplier performance requirements

Able to effectively identify, report and resolve potential safety and quality hazards/risks.Able to develop scope of work, resource estimates, progress metrics, and communication cadence for overall project management to meet mission critical objectives.Knowledge of military and commercial aircraft systems.Able to read and understand engineering designs.An ability to rapidly learn new software systems and execute tasks within the parameters of those systems.Builds collaborative relationships across the organization across many functions. What you need to be successful

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or other related degrees. At least 15 years in aerospace or related manufacturing industry experience within supply chain procurement and contracts .Excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficiency in MS Office tools of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio and OutlookAbility to travel 35% domestic and international
