Lockheed Martin Quality Manager, Fabrication - Fort Worth in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: We are Lockheed Martin

This position has responsibility for leading the Q&MS team in Fabrication.

• Specific responsibilities will be quality processes and performance oversight for Fort Worth Fabrication supporting multiple programs including F35, F16 and F22.

• Responsible for Q&MS activities in warehouse shipping and receiving, paint inspection, composites inspection, tube shop inspection, NDI inspection (Laser UT, Dye penetrant, X-Ray, etc.), CMM programing, First Article Inspection along with tooling and machine parts inspection.

• Directly responsible for the management and oversight of supervisors and represented inspectors.

• Will manage the budget and headcount of the F-35 Q&MS Fabrication team and all aspects of performance assessment, skills assessment, skills gap closure and recognition/disciplinary actions.

• The successful candidate is expected to identify areas of opportunity for improvement across the business and drive projects to improve efficiency and leadership engagement.

• Must be a US Citizen. This position supports a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline.

• Experienced leader in various Quality, Operations, and/or Program Management positions with increasing responsibility.

• Experience working with a represented work force.

• Corrective/Preventive Action Experience.

• Working knowledge with Aerospace Quality Management Systems AS9100.

• Application of root cause analysis and lean/six sigma methods, and corrective action.

Desired Skills:

• Aircraft component part manufacturing and/or inspection background

• Earned Value/Cost Account Management

• Preventive Action/Operational Excellence (Green Belt/Black Belt) Certification

• Use of LM Systems SFM, QADS, ICA, PCAMS, AMS9000 & others

• Demonstrated understanding of Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives

• Culture of Accountability practice and knowledge

• Ability to give, receive, and act on critical feedback

• Ability to form creative partnerships to improve execution and competitive performance.

• Ability to think and act strategically

• Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions, set priorities, and provide succinct direction in a dynamic business environment

• Knowledge of SAP

• Experience using Tableau

• Ability to balance teaming and flexibility while maintaining independence and ensuring process adherence

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
