UnitedHealth Group Part-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - MedExpress On-Site Solutions in Fort Worth, Texas
OptumCare, the largest network of medical groups in the nation, is seeking a Part-time Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our corporate care team in Fort Worth, TX. As a Primary Care Provider, you will be afforded an opportunity to practice whole person primary care without many of the constraints of a traditional community practice. At Optum, we are transforming healthcare nationally while providing dedicated health care delivery locally.
This is a part-time position at 20 hours per week: Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - n o weekends or holidays.
Position Highlights
Deliver the highest quality primary care services including:
Wellness and Preventative Physical Exams
Acute care of minor illness and injuries
Chronic Disease Management and Longitudinal care
Minor procedures (suturing, splinting, incision/drainage, etc.)
Lifestyle and well-being counseling
Medical management of behavioral health conditions
Telemedicine services
Provide clinical leadership of worksite staff
Work closely with a certified medical assistant

Required Qualifications:
Certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the ANCC/AANP or certified as a Physician Assistant through the NCCPA
1+ years of experience working independently
Unrestricted DEA license (or willing to obtain prior to start)
Must be CPR certified (or willing to obtain prior to start)
DOT certification (or ability to obtain within the first 60 days of employment)
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical experience working as a provider in an emergency medicine or urgent care setting
Willing and able to assist at other center locations in the area
