Texas Health Resources Nurse Supervisor - THSH - LTAC PRN Days in Fort Worth, Texas

Fast-paced, high volume LTAC department is looking for top skilled nurse supervisor. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Specialty 1304 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort Worth TX 76104

Work hours: PRN Days M-F, Normal business hours - Weekends are optional and will depend on need. Opportunity to work up to 30 hours a week depending on the needs of the unit.

· 10-bed, long term acute care hospital, located within Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth, offers an environment for you to use your clinical expertise to provide individualized and holistic care for patients with intensive nursing needs.

  • We care for those with medically complex cases such as:* Ventilator-dependent patients with rehabilitation potential* Multiple trauma patients* Patients with complex wound care* Multisystem failure patients

· Low nurse-to-patient ratio in order to impact the progress of our patient’s health over our average 25-day length of stay. You really make a difference in your patient’s quality of life.

Here’s What You Need

· Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Diploma of Nursing.

· BSN preferred

· 2+ years experience as a clinical nurse with previous experience as a charge nurse or similar leadership role (i.e. Charge nurse, committee chair, preceptor) required.

· TX Registered Nurse Upon Hire required

· BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire prior to providing independent patient care required and maintained quarterly.

· ACLS – within 90 days of hire preferred

· CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 60 Days preferred.

· LTAC, Critical care or Progressive Care experience preferred

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN supervisor will

· Good computer skills using a medical management application.

· Possesses a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.

· Serve as a role model, be an intra/interdisciplinary collaborator and a coordinator for quality patient care.

· A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment is required.
