Cardiovascular APP position

Baylor Scott & White, Heart and Vascular Hospital Fort Worth is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional (APP) to join their growing cardiology team in the cardiac catheterization pre/post procedural unit. The APP will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with a variety of cardiovascular and electrophysiology disorders. This position requires no weekends, holidays or call.
Opportunity Highlights:
· Schedule: 3 - 12 hour shifts, 6am-6pm
· No weekends, no holidays, and no call requirements
· Area: Pre/post cardiac catheterization unit
· Perform history and physical consultation for patients scheduled for cardiac, EP or vascular procedure
· Manage post procedural complications
· Assess, diagnose, and create treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular disease processes, independently and in collaboration with the physician(s)
· Discharge patients from the cardiology, electrophysiology (EP), and/or CVS service lines, and provide appropriate follow-up
· Limited inpatient rounding responsibilities
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
· Graduate of an accredited AGACNP nurse practitioner program or PA program
· Cardiology experience preferred but not required
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION
· Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) OR the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB)
· Unrestricted Texas Physician Assistant (PA) OR Nurse Practitioner (NP) AGACNP license, Registered Nurse (RN), Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) certification
· Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
· Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire or transfer.
