Job Title: Line Cook

Job Description

A line cook, also known as a chef de partie or station chef, is responsible for managing a specific area of food preparation in a restaurant. Line cooks focus on a particular type of food or preparation method, such as butcher, fish, vegetable, sauté, roast, or grill.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a specific area of food preparation.

  • Cut meat, mix sauces, chop vegetables, and prepare ingredients.

  • Clean and set up prep station before each shift.

  • Check food prep and storage areas to ensure health and safety regulations are followed.

  • Assist executive and sous chefs with daily tasks.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in food preparation and cooking.

  • Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.

  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations.

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a similar role in the foodservice industry.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.15 - $16.25
