Robert Half's Full-Time Loan Staff practice is expanding!

Position qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, preferred, not required

  • A minimum of 2 years of industry experience

  • Experience working in at least 1-2 accounting & finance ERP systems, preferred, not required

  • Microsoft Excel, pivots & lookups are a must; macros and financial modeling preferred not required

  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge

  • Excellent technology and computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and other financial software expertise

  • Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Your daily responsibilities will include:

  • Grant or Fund Accounting experience

  • Overseeing and administering purchase requisitions

  • Timesheets and accounts payable vouchers

  • Completing funding agency financial reports and billing statements to funding agencies

  • Reconciling the General Ledger accounts assigned or accounts specific to assigned grants

  • Reviewing requests for payments

  • Assisting in the completion of the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report

  • Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries

  • Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts

  • Audit support

  • Variance analysis and ad-hoc reporting

This opportunity with Robert Half's Full-Time Loan Staff practice is a full-time, permanent position as a Project Grant Accountant. As an employee of our practice, you will help scope, plan, and execute a variety of Accounting & Finance projects/engagements. Your engagements will range from interim staff roles, such as Reconciliation, Month End, Audit prep/remediation, etc., to implementing process improvement and overall attacking business challenges of our clients.

As a member of our staff, you will participate in practice activities that include professional networking events and assisting our business development staff in staying abreast of industry trends and new business opportunities with your assigned clients.

Additional compensation will be available for assistance in developing successful new business for Robert Half's Full-Time Contract team. Our individuals need to be successful not only in technical accounting/analysis but also in client relationships and project management!

Requirements

We are searching for individuals with experience in:

  • A thorough knowledge of grant accounting procedures, reporting and expense analysis, and journal posting is required

  • The ability to effectively communicate across all levels of the organization since they can be highly visible and interact daily with executive management, project team leaders, sales managers, and financial professionals.

  • Ad-hoc reporting and variance analysis
