BAE Systems is seeking a F-16 Support Equipment Engineer in our Fort Worth, TX location. In this role, you'll be tasked to develop support equipment requirements/products for a new fighter aircraft program. Development includes performing mechanical/systems engineering tasks associated with analysis of support requirements, functional analysis, trade studies, concept definition, preliminary design, specifications, integration, test, and delivery of mechanical support equipment products.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Perform to assigned program schedules and assigned budgets in accordance with established company processes and procedures.

  • Translate requirements into system design architecture by providing systems engineering guidance for multidisciplinary design teams providing allocation of requirements to engineering disciplines.

  • Interface with domestic and foreign suppliers and customers.

  • Expectation of travel to two to three locations foreign and domestic.

Because of the need for intermittent in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform a portion of work onsite, this position will be considered hybrid. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility as well as remotely, when applicable.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in an Engineering or Technical Discipline, or related education.

  • 2-5 years experience in F-16 aircraft system design architecture performing systems engineering tasks and functional analysis of support requirements.

  • Experience in preliminary design, specifications, integration, test, and delivery of products.

  • knowledgeable operating in accordance with established company processes and procedures.

  • Strong communication with proven success in providing systems engineering guidance for multidisciplinary design teams and engineering disciplines, as well as with domestic and foreign suppliers and customers.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Experience with aircraft flight line operations is a plus.

  • Ability to collaborate with aircraft platform providers, and their key contractors, to advance the key logistics and sustainment concepts to include leveraging commercial technologies such as green energy in aviation vehicles (air and ground), cloud-based logistics, and autonomous equipment.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $83900 - $142600

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
