We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
This position is onsite in Fort Worth.
Manufacturing Innovation
This position will execute activities for designing digital machine processes and standards for advanced manufacturing equipment.You will work at Bell’s state of the art Manufacturing Technology Center with a diverse team of engineers.You’ll work with both metallics and composite manufacturing processes executing the design and development of digital processes and resources.Objectives also include driving the advancement of enterprise knowledge and capability to reduce the execution time associated with creating CAD/CAM content for manufacturing.
What you’ll be doing as a Digital Engineer
Document and develop “design to manufacturing” integrations through CAD/CAM systems or other process documentation systems.
Work with MI Team to interpret business requirements into design and manufacturing system functionality to reduce cost and schedule, test the functionality through multiple testing environments.
Using knowledge of Design and manufacturing systems, CAD/CAM, and software development, configure, maintain, and integrate new methods of maximizing the execution of the system by various approaches.
Examine system abilities, formulate operating instructions, and assemble documentation to determine the best methods of executing all forms of manufacturing translation to meet design requirements.
Develop and implement policies, procedures and programs uniquely conceived to promote the Manufacturing Innovation mission and industrialization of new technologies.
Interface with manufacturing CAM users, design CAD users, programmers, IT architects, manufacturing and shop floor personnel requiring knowledge and proficiency in design or manufacturing data execution.
Look for opportunities to improve digital process execution balanced with the practical integration with other major business systems.
Qualifications
Skills You Bring To this Role:
5 years minimumexperience required in CAD/CAM software, with experience in process design research and development.
Comprehensive understanding of design modeling and/or manufacturing model development, use case development, test case development, and testing.
Knowledge of the processes and workflows associated with manufacturing planning.
Experience with CAD/CAM systems such as CATIA v5 or v6, Prefer Catia 3DX experience.
Ability to prioritize work,strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a team player mindset.
Excellent communicator must be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, and brief leaders/customers.
What you need to be successful:
We are looking for inquisitive and driven engineers with a passion to innovate and learn new technologies.
Bachelor’s degree with a Major in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Technology.Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.
