Description
Robert Half Client in the construction/manufacturing industry is offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager or Controller based in Fort Worth, Texas, United States. The candidate will play a key role in our financial operations, overseeing financial management, accounting, and financial reporting. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health and transparency of our organization. Base is $100K to $120K range (must have WIP/Job Costing experience - NO EXCEPTIONS)
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Develop, manage, and streamline the budget and forecasting process, enhancing financial planning and analysis.
• Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks, providing strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.
• Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring adequate funds are available to meet operational and capital requirements.
• Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead and mentor the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high performance.
• Prepare cost jobs and work in progress (WIP) reports.
• Oversee the preparation of financial statements.

Requirements
• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller role or similar position
• Proficient in Cost - Job analysis and management
• Demonstrated experience with WIP - Work In Progress, and ability to effectively manage ongoing projects
• Strong ability to prepare and analyze Financial Statements
• Proven track record in managing financial audits and internal controls
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
• Exceptional leadership abilities with experience in managing a team
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficiency in using financial software and databases
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
