AUI Partners Contract Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

The Contracts Manager will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our company operates in full alignment with relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. This role involves developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance programs and initiatives to mitigate risk and uphold our commitment to ethical business practices.

1) Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay updated with ever-changing laws, regulations, and industry standards related to renewable energy and corporate governance.

• Ensure the company's activities, processes, and practices align with these regulations.

• Communicate changes in regulations to relevant stakeholders and guide necessary adjustments in internal policies.

• Maintain state licensing.

• Assist with corporate insurance.

2) Policy Development and Implementation:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to formulate and revise compliance policies and procedures tailored to the company's needs and risks.

• Ensure that policies reflect industry best practices and regulatory requirements.

• Oversee the integration of new policies into company operations and monitor adherence.

3) Training and Education:

• Develop and conduct training sessions for employees at various levels to raise awareness about compliance requirements, ethical behavior, and best practices.

• Create training materials, presentations, and resources to facilitate effective learning.

• Foster a culture of compliance and ethics throughout the organization.

4) Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

• Identify potential compliance risks through thorough assessments of the company's operations and processes.

• Collaborate with teams to design and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.

• Provide guidance to management on risk management tactics and appropriate action plans.

• Reviews contracts regularly

5) Monitoring and Reporting:

• Set up mechanisms to monitor and track compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

• Regularly generate compliance reports for management, highlighting trends, areas of concern, and corrective actions taken.

• Use data analysis to identify patterns and areas for improvement.

6) Internal Investigations:

• Lead or support investigations into reported compliance violations, ethical breaches, or breaches of company policies.

• Conduct investigations impartially, collecting evidence, interviewing relevant parties, and determining appropriate courses of action.

• Collaborate with legal and HR teams as needed and ensure that investigations are carried out confidentially and in line with legal requirements.

7) Collaboration and Consultation:

• Work closely with legal, finance, HR, and other relevant departments to address compliance-related matters in their operations.

• Provide guidance and expertise on compliance considerations during decision-making processes.

• Facilitate cross-functional communication to ensure a comprehensive understanding of compliance requirements.

8) Ethics and Whistleblower Program:

• Oversee the implementation and administration of an effective ethics program and whistleblower hotline.

• Ensure that employees feel comfortable reporting concerns confidentially and that appropriate actions are taken in response.

• Collaborate with HR and legal teams to handle whistleblower reports with discretion and fairness.

9) Relationships:

• Participate in networking events and business development opportunities within Industry and Professional organizations and associations.

• Ensure there is proper communication and customer service between your team and the organization.

• Maintain positive, productive relationships with ALL stakeholders, including AUI employees, Subcontractors, Vendors, Owners, Architects, Engineers and regulatory entities.

• Always represents AUI with the highest standard of professionalism – Leads by example.

Miscellaneous Duties:

• Receive Supervisory guidance with respect to overall objectives; operate within department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives and performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

• Always adheres to company procedures and policies.

• Attend and participate in meetings as required.

• Provide support on any special projects as requested.

• Available 24/7 as needed for emergencies.

• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Area Manager

• Travel as needed.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.

  • Experience: 5+ years in construction contract management.

  • Skills: Strong negotiation, communication, and risk management abilities.

  • Knowledge: Proficiency in construction contracts and industry regulations.

  • Project Management: Track record in overseeing contracts throughout project lifecycles.

  • Vendor Relations: Ability to manage vendor relations with subcontractors and suppliers effectively.

  • Documentation: Detail-oriented with expertise in contract administration.

  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with contract management tools.

  • Problem-Solving: Proactive in resolving contract disputes and issues.

  • Team Collaboration: Strong teamwork skills to work with various stakeholders.

  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in dynamic construction environments.
