RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Chargeback Analyst minimizes losses by making sound business decisions on chargeback cases governed by the card brand associations rules and regulations. You are responsible for investigating and resolving credit card disputes and retrieval.

  • Detailed transaction research, analytical skills, sound decisions and documentation of actions taken

  • Phone calls to merchants, Independent Sales Organizations, and others, to obtain information and c ommunicate the outcome of the case back

  • Maintain knowledge of all card brands regulations and the ability to utilize and understand the card brands regulations rule manuals.

  • Apply card associations industry regulations and practices in resolving disputes, working to working to recover funds for chargebacks, and implementing measures to minimize loss.

  • Educate merchants to prevent future disputes

  • Develop an intermediate knowledge, pertaining to card brands (i.e. Visa/MasterCard/Discover), governing chargebacks, retrieval processes and procedures

  • Work chargeback cases and retreival cases from start to finish which includes, merchant notification, merchant responses, gather required information, review documentation, make a sound educated decision, and representing the case to the card brand

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education and Experience: HS/GED and 0 years experience

  • Must be 18 years of age or older

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year in administrative work, customer service, or call center

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Organized and detail oriented

  • Possess a high level of integrity and can be trusted to maintain confidentiality

  • Teamwork
