Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Engineering Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a manager of the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Team for the F35, IFG, AMMM and ADP Lines of Business in Fort Worth, Texas.

What You Will Be Doing

The successful candidate will be responsible for Air Vehicle Level FEA and coordination of detailed level FEA per program schedules, methods, and requirements to support airframe structural integrity across multiple platforms. The successful candidate is responsible for delivery of Internal Loads to the structures analysis team and support of Service Life Analysis, including IMAT Datasets and the development of stress equations for Force Management analysis. This includes, but is not limited to, development efforts and integration of new capabilities and support of continued force management products. The FEA team will also provide support for ground and flight test execution and time critical MRB support, as required. The FEA team will incorporate lessons learned and improvements form prior completed work. The successful candidate will be responsible for all schedule and cost performance and will exhibit personnel leadership acumen. The FEA Manager is also responsible for implementing program management, including core engineering directives, HR employee development tasks, performance reviews, merit planning, and other management imperatives. The FEA Manager works closely with the FEA & Test Sr. Manager and the FEA Tech Fellow on a daily basis. The successful candidate also acts as the point of contact with program customers and partners for all issues related to Finite Element Analysis. Responsible for meeting program schedule commitments within allocated budgets.

Basic Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's or Masters degree in a related engineering discipline

• Significant experience in Finite Element Analysis and Finite Element Methods Development for Military Aircraft and Vehicles

• Significant Experience using NASTRAN as well as current FEA graphics software such as PATRAN, Hypermesh, and TMP SLIM/Vision

• Experience with Government customers such as US Navy and US Air Force personnel

Desired Skills:

• Previous Leadership experience

• Familiarity with F-35 FEA and FEM development methods

• Experience with EVMS principles and performance metrics

• Experience with Aircraft structural test process and procedures

• Ability to effectively work across organizational boundaries

• Experience with technical personnel within industry partners and government agencies

• Recognized expertise in finite element analysis

• Security Clearance strongly desired

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
