Description
We are actively seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong analytical background to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals practice! This position calls for an expert within the Accounts Payable domain who also carries a knack for careful data analysis.
Responsibilities:
Employ detailed analysis tactics to pinpoint areas for potential cost reductions
Oversee vendor audits, handling high escalated vendor calls effectively
Perform core accounts payable functions including matching, batching, and coding invoices
Reconcile sub-ledger to the general ledger and conduct regular updates
Keep track of accounts payable aging analysis and cash requirements schedules to ensure their accuracy
Scrutinize contracts for opportunities for improved rates
Address customer inquiries, ensuring swift resolution of any accounts payable disputes
Maintain customer credit records accurately and timely
Utilize high-level Excel skills to perform tasks such as lookups and pivot tables
Manage multiple tasks in a high-energy environment while keeping accurate attention to detail at all times.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's day-to-day vendor audits, scrutinizing expenses, and maintaining the accounts payable records meticulously. Full-time engagement and strong commitment to the job are imperative.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Mathematics or other applicable coursework, preferred not required
A minimum of 2 years' experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping/Accounts Payable work
Experience working in at least 1-2 accounting & finance ERP systems, preferred not required
Intermediate - Advanced Excel, able to perform lookups and pivot tables at a minimum
Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
Excellent technology and computer skills
Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
