Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the healthcare, hospitals, and social assistance industry based in Fort Worth, Texas. This role involves handling tasks related to accounting software systems and requires proficiency in programs such as Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize various accounting software systems to perform accounting functions accurately.

• Process and manage accounts payable (AP) efficiently, ensuring all payments are made on time.

• Use Great Plains (GPAC) for check processing and managing payments.

• Operate IBM AS/400 and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to manage and update financial data.

• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and to maintain financial records.

• Identify and resolve any discrepancy in payments and accounts.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Maintain accurate customer credit records.

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner. Requirements • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role within the healthcare, hospitals, or social assistance industries

• Proficiency in accounting software systems

• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Microsoft Excel

• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting functions

• Prior experience in Accounts Payable (AP) and check processing

• Proven ability in data entry and handling discrepancy

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field is preferred
