Accounting Student Assistant
Position Summary
:
Assists with updating financial and business transactions data, supports Finance department with administrative tasks, and helps prepare reports to ensure accurate accounting records.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
:

Assist with ad hoc reports and other projects
Assist with administrative accounting duties
Update/prepare various financial spreadsheets
Prepare journal entries
Assist with quarter-end close and year-end close
Data mining and analysis
Maintain familiarity with strategic District levels of service
Continuous improvement monitoring and innovation efforts
Perform other duties as required
Required Experience:
Less than one (1) year of experience
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Desired Experience:
Accounting experience in an office environment
Required Education/Certification/License:
Junior or Senior working towards an Accounting Degree
High school diploma or GED
Valid Texas drivers license
