Parkview North Hospital Surg Clinical Proj Coordinator in Fort Wayne, Indiana

Summary

Responsible for researching, analyzing, planning, educating, implementing, communicating, and evaluating performance improvement projects that support the perioperative quality and safety plan. This person demonstrates proficiency with performance improvement and research methodology, data analysis, and the presentation of data to all organizational stakeholders. This position will assist leadership and operational management with the planning and implementation of ongoing process improvement initiatives. Partners with Parkview Research to identify potential research projects focused on achieving desired outcomes for improved patient health and outcomes. Develops, plans, and coordinates education to staff in order to close action planning. Manages data registry for surgical patients and meeting coordination optimization.

Education

Must have a BSN from accredited program. Acceptable accrediting agencies are Commission on Collegiate Education in Nursing (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA). Master's degree preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Valid Indiana Registered Nurse license required. Lead Six Sigma Black Belt preferred or willing to obtain. Nursing certification preferred or obtain within one year of hire.

Experience

Minimum of 3-5 years Perioperative experience required. Prefer experience with projects, performance improvement, and data. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.

Other Qualifications

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required in order to provide advice and counsel in situations requiring judgment, timing, and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of others. Must have good data management skills, attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills. Must be able to multi-task, handle multiple stressors, work under time constraints, and meet deadlines. Must be flexible with work schedule. A moderate level of analytical ability is required.
