IR Radiologic Technologist - Full Time, Days position in the Interventional Radiology Unit at Lutheran Health Network - Lutheran Hospital
Sign on bonus eligible up to $25,000
Full Time - 32 hours per week, 8 hour shifts
Hours: day shift with call 1 day a week & every 5th weekend (shifts times vary); Call response time: 30 minutes

About this unit:
This is a high-level Interventional Radiology Lab that performs emergent procedures to support our Comprehensive Stroke Center Accreditation and Level II trauma services. This team also performs a vast array of IR procedures on Lutheran Hospital outpatients and inpatients

Rad Techs in this area can expect to be challenged clinically. This team participates in high-level, complex procedures as well astransfer patients from outlying hospitals.

Job Summary:
Under the immediate directionof the Nurse Manager, Interventional Radiology,assists physician and medical team in preparing patientsand performinginterventional radiology procedures through scrubbing and circulating duties.
Interventional Radiology procedures include (but aren't limited to) the following: embolization of acute bleeds, cerebral/carotid angiogram and intervention, acute stroke intervention (ischemic and hemorrhagic), chemo embolization, tumor embolization, fistulagram with intervention, placement of dialysis catheters, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty, peripheral angiogram with intervention, arterial andvenous lysis treatment, inferior vena cava filter placement/retrieval, transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt placement, tunneled drain placement, percutaneous drain placement, central line placement, gastric/jejunal tube placement, infusaport placement/removal, and tunneled catheter placement for long term infusions.
Registration/Certification/Licensure:
Current state licensure and registration (or eligible) with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT).
Current Indiana State Board of Health General Certificate for Radiographers
CPR within 30 days of hire
ACLS within 1 year of hire
Experience:
- Prefer prior procedural area Rad Tech experience - possibly with IR and/or Cath Lab
Education:
- Successful completion of a radiological diagnostic education from an accredited program.
