Job Description:
SUMMARY
Working under the direction of the Community Relations and Education Specialist, and Community Outreach Educator, the incumbent will support educational programs, tours, summer camps, and community-focused events. The incumbent is expected to exercise good judgment, independence, initiative, and professional expertise in conducting day-to-day operations. All work duties and activities must be performed in accordance with the City safety rules and operating regulations, policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the ability to interact with the public, City incumbents, and outside agencies with patience, tact, respect, and professionalism and the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Assists with tours, educational programs, summer camp, and community events;
Communicates clearly with staff, donors, sponsors, vendors, volunteers, and event guests;
Manages lesson plans and room set-up for educational programs;
