Parkview North Hospital Credentialing Specialist in Fort Wayne, Indiana
Summary:
Responsible for performing accurate data entry, generating verification requests, and conducting credentialing verification for Parkview Health entities within established timeframes. Manages the initial and ongoing enrollment of PPG practitioners with contracted payers and regulatory agencies. Accesses online memberships, such as CAQH, on behalf of PPG practitioners with proper authorization. Adheres to policies, procedures, and accreditation standards to assess applicant credentials, identify potential issues, and ensure all qualifications are met. Maintains and updates credentialing files in the database, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree or equivalent knowledge and skills in administration or a healthcare-related field.
Certification by the National Association of Medical Staff Services as a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist or Certified Professional in Medical Staff Management preferred, but not required.
Minimum of three years’ experience in a healthcare setting or office administration, preferably in medical staff services, managed care, or provider enrollment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with accurate keyboarding skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently using critical thinking skills.
