Job Description:

Working under direction of the Camp Supervisor - Franke, the incumbent assists in the operation of the Franke Park Day Camp. The incumbent assumes the responsibility for the care, supervision, and instruction of groups of youth (4 to 17 years old), greets public, and answers questions. The incumbent assists the Camp Supervisor - Franke with ideas and suggestions for program development and improvement. The incumbent is expected to exercise good judgment, independence, initiative, and professional expertise in conducting day-to-day operations. All work duties and activities must be performed in accordance with the City safety rules and operating regulations, policies and procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the ability to interact with the public, City incumbents, and outside agencies with patience, tact, respect, and professionalism and the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assists Supervisor with the following:

Interviews and hires staff;

Orders supplies and equipment;

Trains counselors (staff);
