  • Provide office support for the Computer Science Department Chair and Faculty.
  • Serve as frontline contact for the Computer Science (CS) department, providing information to callers and visitors regarding course availability, registration, etc.
  • Prepare informational packets and distribute them to prospective students.
  • Work with undergraduate student workers to ensure all paperwork, including payroll, is appropriately documented.
  • Answer student questions in collaboration with the Department Chair.
  • Schedule meetings while maintaining the chairs schedule and serving as a liaison for the Chair.
  • Assist the Chair in creating new documents and policies.
  • Coordinate details of various events organized by the CS Department.
  • Assist with drop/add course transactions.
  • Create and collect Course Learning Outcomes and Evaluation of Instructions.
  • Monitor student academic progress; determine academic standing; prepare correspondence for Chairs signature regarding admission, probation, etc.
  • Audit graduation lists and verify against the registrars list to ensure completion of program requirements.
  • Maintains registration headcounts and graduating totals and computes admission statistics at semester end.
  • Supervise part-time undergraduate student workers reporting to the Department of Computer Science, including the computer science scholar chats.
