SUMMARY

Assist the Coordinatorand/or Leader II in providing direction in theday-to-dayresponsibilities ofthe department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Regular attendance and adherence to the NISCO Attendance Policy including the ability and availability to work a minimum of eight (8) hours per day, forty (40) hours a week, or such other hours per day or hours per week (over-time) asdeterminednecessary or desired to meet business needs. Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able tocomply withall safety laws and NISCO policies and rules.

  • Lead department and area of responsibility
  • Step in when Leader II is unavailable orabsent
  • Interprets company policies, enforces safety regulations, and recommenddiscipline
  • Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able tocomply withall safety laws, safety policies and rules.
  • Responsible for knowing SWI/Workpoints
  • Train new and current associates usingthe SWI/work point/step by stepmethodson new assignments and trackingperformance
  • Ensure area hasmaterial and neededsupplies
  • Complete daily paperwork correctly before end of shiftie: scrap, attainment, efficiency
  • Coordinate job assignments to achieve attainment expectations and meet customerdemand
  • Direct, assign and rotate personnel in various departmentfunctions

Subject to demotion if attendance points exceed six (6) points at any time. - Must be available and willing to work overtime per day or per week asdeterminednecessary to meet business needs. - Responsible for conformity to product requirements and has the authority to stop production to correct quality problems. - Maintains, implements and champions6S - Looks for continuous improvement activities. - Performs job tasks with honesty,confidentiality,and professionalism. - Working with other leaders and coordinators to assure cells are ready and set up for next shift.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Can provide department direction but this job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or G.E.D. or comparable from country of origin.

LANGUAGESKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operatingand maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability towriteroutine reports and correspo dence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates oftheorganization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the associateis regularly required tostand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The associatefrequentlyis required towalk and reach with hands and arms. The associate mustfrequentlylift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities may require color vision depending on job assignment. For quality reasons, this position requires a sighted individual.
