AON Senior Underwriting Assistant in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania

What the day will look like:

As a Senior Underwriting Assistant you will provide support to our NEMT Underwriting Team, assisting with day-to-day client servicing including:

  • Processing and handling endorsement requests

  • Generating Loss Runs

  • Coordinating follow-ups for premium and cancellations

  • Assist with triaging incoming emails to the UW team

  • Assist underwriters in carrying out their essential duties and responsibilities to enhance the overall performance of the team

  • May have extensive interaction with internal team to identify, research, and resolve problems

  • Develop and maintain positive and constructive working relationships with underwriters, marketing professionals, brokers, and policy operations processing associates to provide high quality service to clients

  • May have interaction with internal team to identify, research, and resolve problems

  • Manages daily work within established guidelines and receives general instructions on newly introduced assignments

    Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • Active Property and Casualty insurance license is preferred, or will need to obtain within 6 months of hire

  • Understanding of insurance coverages. Prior experience with auto insurance is a plus!

  • Accurate rating and processing endorsements

  • Develop and maintain positive and constructive working relationships with underwriting coworkers and managers, insurance broker clients, and carrier partners to efficiently execute assigned responsibilities

  • Prioritize work and possess effective time management skills

    Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

    The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $48,000 to $52,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
