BAE Systems Junior PL/SQL Programmer Analyst in Fort Walton Beach, Florida

Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for multiple junior level PL/SQL Programmers to join our team. The junior PL/SQL Programmer Analyst will work within the Application Solutions organization supporting the application portfolios for a variety of business customers covering various functional areas (e.g., Finance, Human Resources, Procurement, Legal, and Business Development).The ideal candidate should have a background in software development and hands-on experience with PL/SQL script, object, and program development and maintenance.The junior PL/SQL Analyst willcollaborate with technical leads, other developers, and internal business customers.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in computer information systems, computer science or another related field.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of work experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities of this position.

  • Ability to design, develop, and test PL/SQL objects and programs, including packages, stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views, materialized views, indexes, and reports.

  • Ability to read, understand, and tune existing PL/SQL objects and programs to optimize database performance.

  • Ability to participate in the analysis, diagnosis and resolution of problems affecting PL/SQL objects, programs and database security, operation, and performance.

  • Ability to maintain PL/SQL objects, programs, and databases in compliance with security, configuration, and change management policies and procedures.

  • Ability to participate in DevOps work phases of requirements, design, development, testing, production release, and operations and maintenance.

  • Ability to participate in the resolution of routine user and system issues and problems.

  • Experience with a SQL development tool like SQL Developer and/or TOAD.

  • Ability to perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to learn and adopt new technologies.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree, minimum of 3 years work experience or equivalent experience.

  • Work experience in the U.S. Federal Government or Department of Defense (DoD).

  • Experience with recent versions of Oracle Database Enterprise, JavaScript and HTML, and Apache Tomcat and/or Oracle Application Server.

  • Related Certifications (e.g., Oracle, PL/SQL, SQL)

  • Experience with other scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or PowerShell.

  • Knowledge of other relational database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Marie DB, Postgres, MS SQL Server).

  • Familiarity with the SDLC used in Waterfall or Agile (Scrum) delivery methodologies.

  • Experience as an Oracle APEX Developer.

  • Familiar with PeopleSoft SQR development and maintenance.

  • Familiar with PeopleSoft Application Engine development and maintenance.

  • Familiar with PeopleSoft PeopleCode.

  • Familiar with Configuration Management tools (e.g., Stat, GitLab, MS TFS)

  • Experience with a service management ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy, Maximo).

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $61830 - $105120

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
