POSITION SUMMARY:
Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI) is seeking applicants that love working with individuals seeking to learn to live substance-free lives. Join a dynamic and innovative team passionate about the welfare of persons experiencing substance use or mental health issues.
The Intake Screener is responsible for triaging new clients to determine if immediate services are needed, or the person may be scheduled an appointment. The Intake Screener provides direct clinical Services to clients of Bridgeway Center, Inc. (BCI). The overall purpose is to provide quality service delivered with dignity and respect for the client. This service is designed to assess and link clients to the appropriate levels of care, improving their overall mental health and generating increased community wellness. The Intake Screener will practice ethically, work with colleagues and clients with respect, and be subject to supervision of his/her activities. The Intake Screener will perform the job in a normal office or community environment.
Applicants must be outgoing and enjoy working with the public, professional, and para-professional team. Have the ability to collaborate and communicate with BCI departments and external stakeholders. Must be able to multi-task and remain professional at all times to ensure that each client has a positive and helpful therapeutic experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field.
Bilingual/bicultural English and Spanish preferred, but not required.

Healthcare Administration (AHCA) Medicaid and Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF)
Level II background check, drug screen, and a Tuberculosis (TB) test. Applicant must be at least
twenty-one (21) years old and have a valid Florida Driver's License with no more than three (3)
points on their driving record to be insured under BCI's automobile insurance policy.

DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide support to develop clear, defined goals/objectives for the CCBHC grant from the Disparity Impact Statement (DIS), using the SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely) model.
Demonstrates the flexibility necessary to respond to client needs.
Demonstrates the ability to evaluate client's status to identify any danger to self or others and takes necessary steps to assure client saf ty.
Demonstrates the ability to identify client needs for mental health maintenance, abstinence from substances, family support, educational/vocational needs, medical/dental needs, legal assistance, and increasing support systems.
