Summary About the Position: This position is located on Fort Shafter, Hawaii, which is near the Historical Palm Circle on the island of Oahu. For information about Hawaii, the island of Oahu and US Army Pacific, visit: http://www.hvcb.org and https://www.army.mil/usarpac Responsibilities Develops, implements, facilitates, synchronizes and executes long-range and crisis action plans to include operational plans, orders, policies and associated programs in coordination with a variety of stakeholder organizations. Exercise development support; Provide joint logistics and communications expertise in the planning, design, development and execution of TF-HD's exercise requirements. Attend key exercise planning conferences in support of exercise material development. Develop and maintain a long term training and certification matrix synchronizing training and exercise operations with stakeholder organizations. Manage logistics and communications support requirements during exercises and operational response activities. Assemble and maintain requisite staff products in support of After Action Review development. Direct or otherwise participate in high level planning and informational meetings/forums providing EXSUM's to inform the command. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing staff direction and guidance on joint logistics readiness and operational planning; interpreting requisite policies to determine impact on current and future operational plans; and coordinating requisite actions to determine courses of action. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Knowledge Management Organizational Awareness Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Position may be made permanent without further competition.
