JOB DESCRIPTION:

Dow is currently seeking exceptional Graduate level STEM students for Entry Level opportunities in Dow Canada Operations (aka Manufacturing & Engineering) to start their fulltime work assignment in the next calendar year.

ABOUT OPERATIONS:The Operations function within Dow is comprised of four unique focus areas that translate business strategies into operations priorities and results. The focus areas are Core Manufacturing, Technical Expertise & Support (TES), Environmental, Health, & Safety Operations (EH&S), and Emergency Services, & Security (ES&S). 

ABOUT YOU:Your job will include a broad range of responsibilities in a variety of different work settings such as chemical plant safety and environmental performance, process operation, optimization, modification, maintenance, and technology implementation. STEM Talent must use sound technical judgment to enable safe and efficient plant operations. You’ll work as part of a team at Dow and we have many opportunities to address challenging real-world problems. 

The majority of the positions are available in Prentiss (Red Deer), Alberta or Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta

Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor or Master Degree in STEM disciplines. 

  • A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada without Company Sponsorship.

  • A graduation date of no later than September 2025.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A preferred GPA of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) at your current university or equivalent on a 100% scale at your current Canadian based university

  • Enrolled in a “Engineers Canada” accredited program

  • Registration as an APEGA EIT

Contingencies:

  • Reliable attendance is an expectation of every Dow employee, therefore the successful candidate must be able to provide their own accommodation and have their own reliable transportation to the plant site daily. Our plant sites are not on public transportation routes, hence: Uber, Lyft, and other similar public transportation means (Subways, Trains, Buses, etc.) are typically not available to reliably access the work location due to site security measures.
