Summary About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the U.S. Army Alaska (USARAK), G2 Intel and Operations Division, Fort Richardson, AK 99505. Responsibilities Serves as a General Military Intelligence Analyst within the 11th Airborne Division and US Army Alaska G2 for various disciplines, including threat analysis and projection of Army forces and operations. Performs tasks relative to military intelligence force protection analysis; collecting, reviewing, interpreting, evaluating, and integrating data from multiple sources; producing all-source intelligence products. Analyzes intelligence information to assess developments, trends, and threat implications. Stays informed of military, political-military, technical, and other developments to conduct valid threat assessments. Prepares all source intelligence products and responses to fulfill 11th Airborne Division intelligence requirements. In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience:1) Producing complete intelligence analysis which is based on multi-domain research and evaluation of intelligence data/information; 2) Collaborating with intelligence community members, such as combatant commands, inter-agency and joint activities, to produce a comprehensive intelligence product for operational taskings. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-11). Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled. This experience should demonstrate: Knowledge of intelligence processes, cycle and organizations; Knowledge of and/or ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics and maps; Knowledge of the systems, procedures and methods of analyzing, compiling, reporting and disseminating intelligence data; and/or Knowledge of organization(s) for and methods of collecting and analyzing intelligence data. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. This is a Security & Intelligence Career Field position. Temporary promotions or reassignments may be extended for a limited period not to exceed five years, and may be made permanent without further competition, provided the temporary promotion was originally made under competitive procedures. Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 5 years by a Current Permanent Army DCIPS employee. Time-limited promotions may be extended up to a maximum of five years. Time-limited reassignments and changes to lower grade may exceed five years, however return rights may be impacted. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
