Position: Engineer II *Company: The Heil Co. (dba 3rd Eye) *Location: Fort Payne, AL []{#_Hlk170731030}**
- Designs Mechanical and Hydraulic components for refuse vehicles.
- Applies and demonstrates engineering design-best-practices and value engineering during project development.
- Develop, implement, and maintain design standards, guides, and procedures.
- Ensure design follows design criteria, standards, and specifications as well as local codes and regulations.
- Lead and completes continuous improvement design projects.
- Ensure procurement packages follow design criteria, standards, and specifications.
- Follow Project Management Process and Procedures.
- Communicate change orders and execute change management processes.
- Provide project technical support familiarity with risk assessments, design reviews, etc.
- Maintain a strong focus on quality, cost, and overall customer value.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of related work experience.
Must have 2 years of experience in each the following:
- Creo Parametric or Solidworks;
- Documenting Bill of Materials and Design Changes using MS Office Tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
- Designing Mechanical components for refuse or other vehicles, leveraging 3D software like Creo and Solidworks; and
- Releasing new product design in PLM Tools, like Windchill or SolidWorks Manage, through Engineering Change Orders (ECO's) which includes releases of Drawings, Bill of Materials, and change notices.
Telecommuting permitted up to 1 day per week. Domestic travel required up to 10%.
