The Quality Control Manager (QM) is responsible for developing, implementing, managing and maintaining effective Quality and Safety policies and procedures that meet contract requirements and the criteria for ISO compliance in all areas as well as company and government safety requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes and implements a complete quality control program that identifies potential and actual problem areas in providing requirements of the contract as specified and result in corrective action throughout the life of the contract.

  • Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.

  • Prepares, maintains, enforces, and updates QC plans to drive performance using ISO 9001:2015 standards across the program and compliance with ISO 14001 standards in all areas.

  • Responsible for all aspects of ISO compliance and the establishment of internal processes/controls.

  • Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.

  • Maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work.

  • Analyzes the nature and cause of errors to identify areas needing improvement in the department’s processes and systems.

  • Reviews, analyzes, and resolves contested case reports.

  • Serves as a liaison with staff and management concerning error trends and problem areas.

  • Establishes program objectives performance goals and assess progress.

  • Establishes operational metrics/key indicators for process control and on-going quality process improvements.

  • Conducts root cause/corrective action analysis.

  • Applies analytical techniques and causative research skills to identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements.

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in management, professional, investigative, technical or other responsible work in providing quality control of services in support of specified logistical missions.

  • Minimum five (5) years' specialized experience in the DOD encompassing the following: understanding of program planning, data collection and analysis, and quality control techniques; broad knowledge of the organization and functions of a variety of logistics functions, i.e. supply, maintenance and transportation

  • Military or Industrial Engineering training in Quality Assurance/Quality Control Preferred.

  • Possess and maintain a valid state driver license.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge to maintain a quality management system in accordance with applicable ISO Standards.

  • Knowledge of Army logistical functions and the ability to analyze, develop, evaluate, advise or promote improvements in logistical programs.

  • Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills to conduct meetings, execute plans, prepare reports, plans, and working instructions.

  • Ability to follow oral and written directions.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

  • Ability to effectively present information to management, employees, and government personnel.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

  • Ability to define problems, collection information and establish facts.

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the capacity to liaise with government officials, contractors, and other stakeholders effectively.

  • Familiarity with military protocols and the unique operational requirements of a military base Preferred.

  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
