Field Service Technician - (Electro-Mechanical) will be responsible for service, trouble-shooting, and repair of Xylem Flygt products. Submersible pumps and related electrical control panel/systems, in a safe and efficient manner in a Xylem Service Center, customer job site or via phone. Job postings will include a wide salary range, with each role's pay falling within that range. The starting salary is based on factors such as skills, experience, location, and market conditions.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES : To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Troubleshoot Flygt submersible pumps and related electrical control panel/systems.

Repair/rebuild/advise onsite customer as necessary and follow up and/or return equipment to our Xylem facility for further evaluation/repair as necessary.

Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and service various products as directed.

Diagnose and report any wear/damage to the customer.

Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.

Perform preventative maintenance on and keep field service vehicle and equipment in proper working order.

Perform start-up duties and ensure any problems are resolved and or addressed/reported.

Troubleshoot system issues/failures and determine resolutions.

Train new service or other shop personnel and customers, as needed, in service and/or other related standard work.

Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to assist customers after hours.

Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities

QUALIFICATIONS :

Service and repair knowledge of electrical equipment

Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electric controls, related industrial equipment

Experience with variable frequency drives and PLC controls preferred

Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written form at multiple levels

Ability to read and comprehend electrical wiring schematics and mechanical drawings

Working understanding of single phase and three phase electrical systems as well as DC systems

Knowledge of AC/DC component location and identification

Knowledge of AC/DC electric and circuit testing skills

Ability to troubleshoot control panels for single phase and three phase controls

Forklift certification preferred

Experience with electrical submersible equipment a plus

SALARY : The estimated salary range for this position is $21.00 - $35.00. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range. $54,000.00 - $86,500.00
