Job Title: Financial Advisor

Job Description

Provides financial and investment services to members. Key responsibilities include assessing members’ financial situations and providing guidance for services to meet the members’ needs through a needs-based financial planning approach with fee-based solutions.

Hard Skills

  • 1-5 years experience as a financial advisor or in a licensed support/service role

  • Must have a 2-14 or 2-15 license (2-15 highly preferred)

  • Must have a FINRA Series 7 along with either a Series 66 OR Series 63 & 65 (may consider candidates with Series 7 and 63 only)

  • FINRA record (U-4) with no unacceptable entries

Soft Skills

  • Ability to analyze and assess financial situations

  • Strong communication skills to explain plans clearly

  • Strategic marketing abilities

  • Relationship building and trust cultivation

  • Compliance with regulations

Job Type

This is a permanent position.

Work Environment

Each position will sit in a predetermined area and service anywhere from 1-4 local branches. This person would work out of a 'home branch' near their home and commute to each branch as needed based on demand and lead generation. If they travel beyond the amount of miles it takes them to get to their 'home branch' for a meeting, they will be reimbursed mileage for the additional miles. Day to day, this person will field leads from branches and set appointments with members where they will learn about their needs and goals and make recommendations on plans and products that will help them achieve their goals. Based on member availability, they will at times meet virtually, over the phone, in person, or offsite. There is potential for work from home at times if they need to work on administrative duties outside of appointments but 95% of their time would be within one of their branches. They will work with branch staff and back office support daily. Big selling point is the referral network, that they are affiliated with LPL Financial (broker/dealer), so broad range of solutions and products, culture, and base salary (don't have to call friends and family to start building their portfolio).
