Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be a minimum of 18 years old.

  • Ability to pass a physical abilities test to assess ability to bend, reach, lift, pull, and climb stairs/ladders as required for the position.

  • Must be able to work Sunday - Saturday, off-shifts, weekends, holidays, and required overtime to support a 24 hour/7-day operation.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must be 18 years of age.

  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language in order to understand/adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP's), to communicate. effectively with others (e.g. verbal presentations & written reports), to complete required documentation both in written and electronic form, and to troubleshoot systems utilizing the English language.

  • Must have the ability to perform essential job functions.

  • Comply with all applicable safety practices, including wear of required personal protective equipment.

  • Must comply with all applicable safety practices.

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly work area.

  • Complete written reports thoroughly, properly, and timely.

  • Perform basic and intermediate mathematical calculations.

  • Data entry and querying computer systems (Flex, LRS, SAP, Labware, etc.)

  • Must possess considerable problem-solving ability in dealing with equipment or troubleshooting when supervision is not readily available for consultation.

  • Must have an understanding of basic chemistry, biology, microbiology and basic lab equipment and testing through on the job experience, or through high school or college coursework.

Responsibilities:

  • Building calibration sets by collecting reference samples from process and completing primary chemistry of reference samples.

  • Calibrating equipment using pre-made or internally built reference sets. These reference sets may be used for equipment calibration validations or calibration adjustments as needed.

  • Read Standard Operating Procedures for laboratory primary chemistry methods, understand thoery of test methods, perform test methods at highly capable levels, and train others to standard method.

  • Validating equipment calibration effectiveness using data analysis techniques such as statistical process control. Consultation of results and trends with QE Team Leads to support execution of appropriate action plans.

  • Equipment troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and repair of sensitive laboratory equipment, as necessary.

  • Administration of internal and external collaborative study programs. This includes preparation and distribution of samples, compiling and analyzing data, distributing results/reports, etc.

  • All other duties as needed for analytical services support for the Fort Morgan Plant.

  • Perform work in a safe manner by following safety procedures and policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct.

  • This position is responsible and accountable to ensure product meets food safety, regulatory, and quality requirements by following the Food Safety Plan, Quality Plan, and company policies.

  • All other duties as assigned.
