U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Training Specialist (Bilingual) in Fort Moore, Georgia
Summary About the Position: Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) in the use of Enterprise Automated Systems, tools, and repositories in support of the Learning Enterprise within the institute. Reviews Program Learning Outcomes, Enabling Learning Objectives (ELOs), Terminal Learning objectives (TLOs), Course Administrative Documents (CAD), Programs of instruction (POI), and other curriculum development products. Responsibilities Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) in the use of Enterprise Automated Systems, tools, and repositories in support of the Learning Enterprise within the institute. Manages the education/training products and materials for graduate level education courses for field grade level Professional Military Education (PME) taught in Spanish at the Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC). Typical assignments will involve complicating factors such as changing situations or educational developments that outdate established guideline material. Provides guidance on curriculum development, conducts analysis of educational/instructional issues, and assists other curriculum developers in updating courseware. Coordinates the development of curricula for US Army, international company and field grade officers. Revise proponents’ military education courseware and create Spanish versions to be taught in resident/non-resident instruction. Position requires proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in both Spanish and English. Creates and revises 'graduate level' military education courseware and Programs of instruction to be taught in resident/non-resident instruction. During the training development process, identifies change requirements; updates lesson and examination materials; updates or validates Training Requirements Analysis System (TRAS) document changes. Executes the analysis, design and development phases of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process employing field experience, instructor training, and experience. Assembles, adjusts/modifies proponent’s course material for successful implementation within the allowable time, methodology, resources. Reviews feedback data from course evaluations as it relates to training doctrine and concepts to verify deficiencies. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes 1) Identifying the need for improving existing courses or course materials through means such as student critiques, comments, performance or research of current trends; 2) Designing and developing resident and non-resident training programs for an organization; 3) Revising existing programs of instruction (POIs) that require modifications to meet requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
