Summary About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE), US Army Armor School (USAARMS) 316th Cavalry Brigade 3rd SQDN CAV-S4 Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama. The geography and climate are ideal for year round military training. Public transportation and free parking is available. Responsibilities Establishes total inventory status of the commodity in relationship to change in demand, funds, and mission requirements. Serves as hand receipt hold and is responsible for the management, direction, and administration of the property hand receipt and real property management. Coordinates material support for assigned work operations and ensure supplies and equipment are provided on a timely, effective and efficient basis. Conducts command supply discipline evaluations of all subordinate units. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) utilizing standardized supply regulations and policies; 2) maintaining inventory records and identifying discrepancies between supply records and inventory counts; AND 3) purchasing supplies using a government credit or similar system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Conscientiousness Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Integrity/Honesty Supply Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
