Army Installation Management Command Business Manager (Food Service) NF-03 in Fort Moore, Georgia

Summary This position is located at the Java Cafe which is apart of Fort Moore Family & Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR). Responsibilities Manages a Food Service Program within a business activity. Develops, recommends and enforces operating procedures. Plans and manages all phases of food service program where dining and catering are a substantial basis of the food operation. Prepares/supervises the preparation of menus involving both standard and new cooking methods. Conducts customer surveys, reviews usage/sales to make recommendations concerning services, promotion activities and revenue improvements. Represents the activity to the public. Participates in the selection of employees, directs on-the-job-training of new employees, makes duty assignments consistent with operational requirements. Develops operating budget and data, identifying labor, equipment, and supply costs. Controls food pricing and costs. Oversees food ordering, storage and issues. Directs subordinates in all phases of food preparation and food sanitation requirements. Supervises assigned staff. Minimum Qualifications: Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed. Knowledge of pricing methods and internal controls. Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower pay level. Possess a certificate for sanitation in food service or have the ability to obtain the certificate within three months of appointment. Highly Preferred Criteria: Possesses one (1) year or more experience operation in managing a food & beverage operation. Possesses financial management skills to include understanding and managing business budgets, controlling costs and analyzing financial information. Possesses specialized certification programs in food & beverage management, i.e. Servsafe manager certification. PCS Costs: Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials: This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances: Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
