United States Fleet Forces Command SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE SPECIALIST in Fort Meade Naval Facilities, Maryland
Summary You will serve as the Targeting Intelligence Deputy Department Head at the GG-13 grade level supporting Fleet Cyber Command (FLTCYBERCOM)/US TENTH Fleet Intelligence Directorate (N24). All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Responsibilities You will apply expertise and knowledge of the Joint and Navy planning and targeting processes. You will serve as a cyber target intelligence analyst and subject matter expert with full responsibility for provision of intelligence support to both operational and contingency planning efforts. You will provided advice and assistance to naval component commands or Joint headquarters in planning cyber operations concepts, objectives, and formulation of supporting plans. You will apply a thorough knowledge and understanding of the FLTCYBERCOM Command missions, components, organization, structure, and command channels. You will facilitate analytic liaison with counterpart specialists throughout the intelligence community (IC) in order that all sources of information are exploited, including real time interface and communication. You will analyze and refine Joint targeting objectives throughout the Joint Operations Planning Process (JOPP) and the Joint Targeting Cycle. You will provide the analysis and integration of complex targeting issues for senior-level leadership. You will help shape targeting doctrine to advance cyberspace as a warfare domain and assist the education of the FLTCYBERCOM/TENTH and Joint Force Headquarter Cyber (Navy) associated Task Forces in the application of targeting principles. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as: Producing intelligence targeting plan briefings and reports to determine acceptable courses of action for the command. Translate guidance into intelligence planning/targeting objectives to accomplish operational goals. Providing advice and assistance with planning cyber operations concepts, objectives, and formulation of supporting plans. Planning, directing, assigning, leading, and monitoring the work of the unit; hiring or selecting employees; managing and appraising employee and organizational performance; disciplining employees; resolving employee complaints; and supporting the development of employees.
